Mr. Zandell’s practice emphasizes civil litigation, primarily in the areas of real property, construction, business and personal injury. He has successfully represented businesses and individuals in a wide array of lawsuits, including those involving the following: easements, adverse possession, landlord/tenant (commercial and residential), construction contracts (general contractors, subcontractors and homeowners), personal injuries, fraud, business purchase and sales, purchase options, conversion, well and septic, administrative (government agencies), collection of accounts receivable, and foreclosures. On the transactional side, Mr. Zandell has prepared a wide array of legal documents for his clients, including: construction contracts, commercial leases, business purchase and sale agreements, shareholder and LLC agreements, wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives (living wills), promissory notes, deeds of trust and financing statements.

When representing clients in litigation, Mr. Zandell employs an aggressive yet conscientious and practical approach. He works diligently in an attempt to leverage negotiated settlements whenever possible. When cases are not resolved through settlement, Mr. Zandell utilizes his excellent communication skills and extensive experience to attempt to achieve favorable results for his clients at trial or arbitration. Resolving his client’s disputes to their satisfaction in the shortest amount of time and in the most cost-effective manner possible is always Mr. Zandell’s objective.

Mr. Zandell is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and the Thurston County Bar Association. In addition, he is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington.

Mr. Zandell takes pride in serving the Thurston County community. He volunteers with United Way of Thurston County where he is currently a member of the 2010-2011 Community Investment Committee. Mr. Zandell volunteers at the Small Business Development Center at the Thurston County Economic Development Council providing pro bono consultations to small businesses.

Mr. Zandell is an active member of the Thurston County Chamber of Commerce. He is the chair of the Chamber’s “Leads at Lunch” group that meets every Tuesday at from 11:30-12:30 at Olive Garden at 2400 Capital Mall Drive SW in Olympia. Mr. Zandell is also an associate member of the Olympia Master Builders and the Washington Landlord Association.

Mr. Zandell graduated summa cum laude from Gonzaga University School of Law. He received his bachelor of art’s degree in political science from Central Washington University.

Mr. Zandell’s interests include music, politics, swimming, tennis, geography, history and travel.
